BRCA JeneScreen Genetic Screening Program

Welcome to the BRCA JeneScreen Genetic Screening Program

This program will provide you with information about the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes, and how they are relevant to our Jewish community, and offer you the opportunity to undergo testing.

Until now, testing for faults in these genes has been done through hospitals, and has been directed to those with a personal or family history of breast or ovarian cancer. This program has been developed to offer BRCA testing online (with DNA collection kits sent in the mail) to people of Jewish ancestry (men and women) who live in NSW at NO COST.

Please be aware that there is a substantial amount of information to read, before you can consent to undergo the test, so please set aside some time for you to progress through the website.

If you have a personal or family history of breast or ovarian cancer and prefer to be tested through a clinical service, please contact our genetic counsellor:

Dr Nicole Cousens on 02 9382 5188, 0416 042 778 or nicolecousens@wolper.com.au
